A useful correction report

Tell us the canonical gauge you selected, which output field you read, and the result you expected. Include the source title, edition and page if you are comparing a reference. This matters because an unrounded geometric progression can differ from the nominal table without either decimal representing a direct measurement of your wire. Gaugepoint intentionally uses NBS Handbook 100 from 1966, table 1.

If the issue is visual, describe the browser, approximate window width, and which control or label was difficult to use. A screenshot is optional. Crop private tabs, messages, account names and other unrelated information before sending one. Do not send passwords, financial details or private project documents.

What support can cover

We can use a clear report to review this tool's declared reference, arithmetic, explanations or interface. This site does not provide wire selection, ampacity, circuit design, certification, material choice or physical fit advice. The result is a nominal geometric reference; the drawing is not a print-to-scale template. Questions about a particular manufactured item need the relevant product information and qualified context beyond this calculator.

Email and saved notes

Email uses external mail services and may be retained while a correction is reviewed. Only include information needed to reproduce the issue. You can copy the current result notes to retain its source and model statement, but inspect again after changing the gauge so you do not quote an old result. The method guide and worked examples may resolve a units question immediately. No response time or individual engineering consultation is promised.
