A local lookup with clear boundaries.

The selected gauge is processed by JavaScript in this page. Gaugepoint does not send it to a remote calculation service, add it to the page address, or deliberately package it into analytics events. No analytics, advertising or consent-platform loader is active in this source release. Publisher metadata and ads.txt are prepared records, not an active advertising script or proof of advertising approval.

What the page keeps

The calculator holds its current selection and result in the open page. It does not deliberately save them in local storage, session storage or cookies. Startup explicitly restores the fixed 12 AWG example, rather than relying on a browser-restored form value. Reset example does the same. Editing the selection clears the previous result and disables its exports until you inspect again.

Your browser and operating system have their own history, restoration, download and clipboard features. This page cannot control those independently managed records. Closing a tab is not a promise to erase a note you downloaded or copied elsewhere. Consider the destination before sharing any saved reference result.

Hosting and optional actions

Delivering a website requires requests to the hosting service. Those can expose ordinary connection information such as an IP address, time, requested path and browser details to the service. Local calculation does not eliminate hosting requests. Gaugepoint itself does not request location access, inspect a camera, read files or use a third-party conversion API.

Copy notes asks the browser to write the current result to your clipboard when you choose that button. If permission is unavailable, a visible manual copy field contains the same current notes. Save text and Save JSON create local downloads. Those actions do not intentionally upload the result. A late clipboard response cannot restore a stale result after an edit or reset.

Contact is separate

Sending an email uses your mail provider and the existing shared forwarding alias shown on the contact page. Email is not anonymous local calculation. Do not include private account information or confidential project data. Contact messages may be retained to investigate a correction; this page does not promise a particular mail-provider retention policy.
